Portavelas ::: Candle holder

Este porta-velas está hecho en base a una taza que perdió el asa. Eliminé bien usando una lima los restos del asa y forré la taza con porcelana flexible dándole una textura especial al acabado. Le di un terminado algo metálico. Para adornar el porta-velas utilicé porcelana flexible e hice una magnolia pequeña, unas hojas y una rama con pequeños brotes de magnolias.
Tenía una vela algo deteriorada que cabía perfectamente en el porta-velas y me gustaba el largo que tenía. Decidí que una vela amarilla combinaría muy bien, así que empleé una servilleta de papel de ese color y la planché sobre la vela haciendo que se marcaran arrugas para un acabado más bonito. This candle holder is made of a cup with a broken handle. I removed all traces of the handle using a file and covered the cup with flexible porcelain, texturing it for a special finish. I gave it a kind of metalic finish. To adorn the candle holder, I used flexible porcelain and made a small magnolia, leaves, and a branch with little magnolia buds.
I had an old candle that perfectly fit the holder and had right the right lenght: I decided a yellow candle would go well, so I used a yellow paper napkin and ironed it over the candle forming wrinkles for a nicer finish. Here is the result. To see more pics and another model, click here:
